January 11, 2007 Why do some people need signs and wonders to believe in Jesus, and others do not? I find the following relevant to today`s lesson and to what happened to some people who saw healings of Jesus but belief did not stay with them: God and soldier we adore, in time of danger, not before! The danger passed, and all things righted, God is forgotten, and the soldier slighted. by an anonymous soldier serving under the Duke of Marlborough, circa 1705

January 09, 2007 What is the harvest, who sows it and who reaps it? It is not the harvest of grain; it is harvest of people. Saints through their lives prepare spiritual seed of God`s work and they and their followers sow the seed. The seed takes time to grow. When it is grown the followers of God at that time can reap. Reaping means getting believing people to do God`s work. But they should not claim the honor for reaping and remember that people before them have sowed the seed.

January 08, 2007 What type of water is Jesus offering to the woman so that she will never thirst again? Jesus talks about living water. It means life. But this life does not belong to this world which is temporary. It is eternal life; it is life of spirit. Those who do not have spiritual experience will not understand what life of spirit is like. Jesus further says that God is spirit. So he is suggesting life of spirit is life in the Kingdom of God. This is what one should worship for.
