Why do you think Jesus chose, after he rose, to show Himself first to Mary Magdalene? Mary was full of love for Jesus after the Lord had mercy for her by forgiving her sins,after every one had gone only Mary M remained. On looking the body of Master was'nt there so she was weeping.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) No. He came to save the lost sheep.He was trying to show them what was supposed to done by them,and also to fulfil what was prohesised by prophet Isiah that Jesus had zeal for His fathers house..
