To sacrifice Himself for Others Jesus accomplished this purpose by accepting to be tormented, tortured like a thief and died a shameful death on the cross used for punishing the great crimininals. He had, and still has powers powers to stop his own death on the cross but it is a purpose to be fulfilled as prophesied by prophets and himself as the highest prophet. Jesus showed a lot examples in service to show that he came to serve but not the other way round.
