How does Simon Peter feel about himself, and how does Jesus change that?

Simon Peter felt ashamed of himself and felt that he was unworthy to even be in the company of Jesus. Jesus didn't rebuke him for this, but instead gave him a purpose (catching people rather than fish).

Why do you think the Samaritans called Jesus the Savior of the world?

Because Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, will you worship the Father. You worship that which you don't know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." And He told her to call her husband to come to Him, when she told everyone in the city they all went to see for themselves the truth. And Jesus also told the Samaritan woman the He is the Messiah and she believed.
