Why was Zaccheaus so joyful when Jesus asked to stay at his house? Zaccheaus heard about Jesus and knew He was coming to his town and wanted to see Him. Zaccheaus was a sinner who Jesus like to mix with. When Jesus said He was to stay at his house he knew he had a chance to wash away his sins by Jesus thus he was so joyful.
