Gabriel predicts that: 1. Jesus will be great and be called the Son of the Most High. 2. Jesus would be given the throne of David and reign over the house of Jacob. 3. There will be no end to Jesus' Kingdom. John the Baptist's role was to: 1. Drink no wine/alcohol. 2. John would be filled with the Holy Spirit even while still in the womb. 3. John would turn the Jews back to God to prepare the people for the Lord. Why is it significant that when Mary arrived with Jesus in her womb, the unborn John the Baptist leaped in the womb of his mother Elizabeth?
