As it was the religious leaders who had a part in Jesus' death, Joseph risked being outcast from his society if discovered that he took possession of Jesus' body for burial. He was willing to do this because he was seeking the kingdom of God

Joseph was a believer of Jesus and risk his life for the Lord and he was seeking for the kingdom of heaven too.

Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. Jesus said that because the Spirit left and He was the flesh leftin Him just like ordinary people. Just like the earthly son and father.
