Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor? Because she is preparing Jesus' burial by anointing Him with that expensive perfume beside the poor will be with us forever and Jesus wouldn't.

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? Predicting the future is God's. We just do our daily work and be alert and pray as the Lord adviced.
