Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important?

I believe that forgiveness and faith go hand-in-hand.  To accept the Lord into your life as your Saviour, you must have faith in His existance and His ability to save.  You also ask for forgiveness for transgressions - with the belief (faith) that they will actually be forgiven.  You can't ask for forgiveness, either, without the belief that Jesus can forgive sins.

As you continue to use prayer in your life, you do so with the continued believe/faith that there is a God in heaven who created the world and cares for you.  You also continue to ask forgiveness of sins.  Again, these things go hand-in-hand.  As without faith - why even ask for forgiveness?  Why even pray?

What perspective did Jesus have, that may have reduced his personal interest in getting married? Note: Nothing in the four primary biographies discuss Jesus being married.
Jesus came to the choosen people of the Father, to lead them back to Him and to show them, through Jesus Himself, how God is. He came to serve and save the world which had and still has gone astray. "I am the way, the light and the life, no one could come to the Father except through Me." said Jesus. So Jesus had no intention of getting married.

Jesus was angered by religious people inappropriately taking people`s money (robber`s den). Why did Jesus take such dramatic action and not just condemn with words?
Words are meaningless without action.  Also, the robbery of the people was a very personal issue for Jesus.  So-called "religious" people were taking people's money in the name of God - and taking the money from the very people that the temple is supposed to serve and care for.  I think that the whole situation just hit a nerve.
