Children are quick to empathize.  The world to a child is black and white - with wrongs easily fixed by apologizes.  Children are trusting.  Children are easily amazed by the fantastic world around us and are curious to learn about that world.  All of these qualities ccould increase one's ability to receive spiritually.

 Prayer could increase these qualities.  Ask that your eyes be open to notice and appreciate the gifts and the beauties that we are surrounded with.  Trust in the Lord.  Remind yourself to see Christ in others and to humble yourself and meet the needs of others.  Be quick to empathize.  Be quick to apologize when you're wrong.

Jesus says that God's role is to bind a man and woman together as one through marriage.  Divorce, therefore, is not permissable.  Further, if a couple were to divorce and remarry, those individuals are committing adultery. 

A struggling couple might read this passage and make the decision to stay together since they could then see themselves as one unit and, hopefully, treat themselves as one unit - each loving the other and looking out for the interests of the party.
