Jesus became very popular. People came to see Him from all over for all kinds of reasons. Can you list some reasons why the crowds could be following Him?
Jesus became very popular because He was healing the sick and because He was offering hope during a time when the Jews were being oppressed by the Romans.  Many would be looking for a Messiah to save them from Roman rule and preserve their culture.  Jesus was a charismatic, young leader who could heal the sick - it would be odd if He did not become popular.

When religious leaders accused Jesus of working on the day of rest (Jesus), why did Jesus get so angry?
Jesus got so angry because the religious leaders' hearts were so hardened and so stubborn to stick on to their own laws not God's.

When asked about a religious practice (fasting), why does Jesus describe how old and new may not be compatible?
Because Jesus is the new, and following the old practices of the Old testament is not compatible anymore.
