If you were Mark, writing a short report to demonstrate to a Roman audience that Jesus (a Jewish man) was "the Son of God", what would you include in that report? I would keep in mind my Roman audience and focus on the counter-cultural attitude of Jesus and his unversial message of social compassion. In this way, Romans would see that He really was the Son of God and not some sort of invention or fable.

Why did Judas betray Jesus with a kiss? Because it was a signal to those who would detain Jesus. Also it was ironic, and contradictory. A kiss is a show of affection, yet Judas was using this to betray Jesus
