Because anger is the sinful emotion in us that when we come to God with it we could not calm down and thus we could not be with Him. Only love that can bring us close to God. What type of circumstances are there today that might lead one to be a disciple of Jesus, but in secret, like Joseph of Arimathea? Religeous persecutions in countries that don't follow or discriminate against Christianity.
