"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) No he was not trying to incite his death, he was following what God told him to do. He was obeying his Father! His life , his ministry and his death were all foretold in the scriptures, he told his disciples this over and over again. So that after his death they would remember what he told them, and to help them except what had to be done for our salvation.
