They were unable to realize that by their actions they were actually disobeying God. Why did Jesus call the Pharisees blind? What were they unable to see? They were unable to see or understand spiritual things.They were caught up with there own laws and traditions that they were blind to the teachings of Jesus.They saw the dirthy hands but could not see the sinful heart.

Why did Jesus call the Pharisees blind? What were they unable to see? For Jesus had performed many mircals and the Pharisees witnessed them and still didn't believed Him thus they were blind. God right in front of them yet they were unable to see. As Jesus said " You see me you see the Farther(God)."
