Why was it evil for the scribes and Pharisees to ask a sign from Jesus? Jesus was the Son of God and He did many miracles.healings,and signs and wonders to prove who He was,yet they did not believe.They were evil because they did not want to change there ways or there religioniouse ways.They tried to get to heaven through works and Jesus said He was the only way to the Father in heaven.They had allready seen the miracles He had already did yet they wanted more.Jesus knew there heart,and another sign would not change them.

What did the Pharisees say against the Holy Spirit and why was it such a serious offense? The Pharisees said that Jesus was Beelzebub which is the demon. Jesus is the Son of God and is the Holy Spirit, this is the serious offense of blasphemy against the Lord.
