I think Jesus said that greeting was just to calm the disciples down for they were still mourning Jesus' death, fear of the Jews and were lost without the Shepherd(Jesus).

Why do you think Jesus chose, after he rose, to show Himself first to Mary Magdalene? Mary was there at the right time when Jesus was ready to go to the Father in heaven.She was weeping and Jesus had compassion and revealed Himself to her.Jesus also new her heart and new how much she loved Him.Jesus is no repecter of persons, He treated men and women as equals.

Why do you think Jesus chose, after he rose, to show Himself first to Mary Magdalene? Jesus chose to show Himself to Mary Magdalene after He rose from death, I think because she was the only one standing at the tomb mourning and looking for Him, unlike others so call disciples. This is what I think. However, no ones know why exept God because every thing is in His hands, He is in control.
