What do you value so much that if you lost it, you would do everything possible to find it?

I value the holy ghost in me, and I never want to depart from it again. The holy spirit is God's Love in us. Once you have it other worldly things don't mean anything to me. I value my kids, God's precious gifts to us. My oldest was called to the Lord a few years ago, and it is hard not to see him, but through God's hope I know I will meet him again. Always keep in mind our reward in heaven, a crown of glory and so it this I stay close to the Lord.

Why does Jesus tell the growing crowd that one must be willing to renounce everything, including one`s own life, to be Jesus` follower?

Jesus tells the growing crowd that one must be willing to renounce everything, including one's own life, to be His follower because as the scripture says your heart will be where your treasure is, so if you still own some treasure, and you are afraid to loss your own life you wouldn't be serving the Lord hundred present.

Jesus must be first in our life.I can't put family or friends or any person before Jesus.To be a disciple I must follow Him and obey His teachings.There is a price to be paid to be a disciple of Jesus.It is not easy to carry a cross.
