Jesus wants to gather and protect His people, because He Loves them even though they continue to be disobedient to Him. It is as if certain races or stubborn people are stuck in the old testament days, and they are still suffering they are living in is like they are still in captivity. They keep following the old ways and some only live for pleasure and when they are hurting, they wonder where God is? I say people open your eyes, does not God made your eyes so you can see and stubborn ones, open your ears, does not not God give you ears so you can hear the Good News, Come and rest with Him and He will protect you from the evils out in the world we have today!

How does Jesus want to care for the people of Jerusalem (Israel), and how do they respond? Jesus wants to care for the people of Jerusalem like the hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but the people of Jerusalem refused.

Jesus answers that to be saved, it is not enough for the person to know the Lord, rather the Lord needs to know the person. What does this mean? This means that one must have faith in Jesus and His Father God and have actions; like: obey and do what God tells us to do as in the Holy Bible.
