What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread.

Jesus implied by saying "This is my blood of new coveneant, which is poured out for many" was to do away of the old sacrifice of animals blood and that Jesus' blood washed away our sins once and for all.
