Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notÃ¢€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).

Jesus places commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil because love is tender, love is kind and love has no hatred no evil. If one has love one has no desire to do evil things. This is good in God's eyes.

What perspective did Jesus have, that may have reduced his personal interest in getting married? Note: Nothing in the four primary biographies discuss Jesus being married.

Jesus is God. God is Spirit and does not get married like earthly people do.

Jesus had no desire to get married. His only personal goal was to bring eternal salvation for God's people. He was pure Love and He never sinned. He didn't desire the same things we do as people. Often we get lost in trying to find the perfect mate for marriage that we should recieve Jesus first because He was the perfect man.
