Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God?

If He answered God then they would of charged him with blasphemy if HE said from himself then He would be charged and arrested. He then asked where did John get authority to baptise people then they answered their own question, from heaven! The knew where Jesus authority came from it was from heaven.

Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important?

Faith is believing; if you don't believe nothing will happen for you don't believe in God. If you don't forgive, you always have that hatred in your heart that will shut you off from God.

The common people are praising Jesus, expecting him to become Israel`s next king. Jesus knew they would turn against him a few days later when he disappointed their expectation. Do you have expections of Jesus which he did not promise?

I don't know if I have any expectations of my lord Jesus. Only Jesus knows.
