Jesus became very popular. People came to see Him from all over for all kinds of reasons. Can you list some reasons why the crowds could be following Him?

The crowds could of followed Jesus for a variety of reasons, some of which are; they truly beleived in His word and that he was the Son of God, they were marvelled at his miracles, they were lost in their lives and He provided hope and new meaning, they were amazed at his knowledge on scriptures and how he would outwit the high priests, etc.

When religious leaders accused Jesus of working on the day of rest (Jesus), why did Jesus get so angry?

Jesus got so angry because the religious leaders followed the law not in spirit but mechanically. They did this so well that they were not able to open their eyes and judge for themselves right or wrong - i.e. they would have rather leave a man to die than help him on the Sabbath. As Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man and not the other way around

When asked about a religious practice (fasting), why does Jesus describe how old and new may not be compatible?

They may not be compatible as fasting of the old testemant related to hope and the coming of the Messiah. With the coming of the Messiah (Jesus), that hope was fullfilled thus, fasting in the old testament sense was not required, as Jesus was amongst them establishing the new covenant.
