What characteristics of a rich person make it harder to receive the Kingdom of God?

Anyone who puts money, the love of money and or materials possessions before GOD. In addition, any one who does not use their wealth to help those who are less fortunate are a few of the characterists that would hold true in this instance.

their attitudes of being better than their superiors due to their wealth. people who are wealthy seem to snub the little people because they feel so much better than the rest. they also usually buy their friends or flash their money to get the things they think they continue to need. in heaven i feel their is no place for this for i believe in heaven we will all be equal.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

To fulfill prophecy in the old testament.

Jesus took on the sins of the whole world(mankind) And that included sickness, disease, torture and all kinds of pain we cannot possibly imagine with our finite thought process.

Most of all, Jesus suffered spiritual seperation from God. He did all of this so those who believe in him would not have to suffer what we most assuredly deserve.

All who believe and trust in Jesus have acess to our heavenly father. how great is that!
