Christ makes us "new" by His example of the ultimate love; that is, a love that requires humility, putting others' needs first, and, in direct contradiction to many of our society's "standards," not seeking what we want directly; as a "new" Christian we are required to give to others what we want

for ourselves.  The love that Christ gives us is overwhelmingly pure and unconditional.

Our goal is to emulate that precious love.
