How does the host respond when people reject his dinner invitation in order to pursue their possessions and relationships? He was angry that those he invited rejected his offering to his great feast. So,the Lord invites the sick, lame, and rejected by people to his great supper.

Why does Jesus tell the growing crowd that one must be willing to renounce everything, including one`s own life, to be Jesus` follower? To be a Disciple of Jesus, you must put him and way of the Lord above everything else. If temptation from family or any other source of influence comes before you, you must be willing to reject everything to follow him and the Lord's ways.
