In the lesson they even break this division down to the family unit. If you are not for GOD, then by all accounts you are against him and will be counted as so. What "division" did Jesus intend to bring between people? Jesus came to save us, giving us the choice of believing in Him or nor, thus the division. Blessings.

What "division" did Jesus intend to bring between people? Jesus knew there would be believers and non-believers. He also knew, that because man went against God's word and ate fruit from the tree, there would be sinners and people that he could not save. His division would put the path to rightousness before us to follow and lead us to salvation and eternal life.
