The magnitude of God’s love is immeasurable. He loved us first and desires for us to love him back.  God’s love is a call for a personal relationship with each of us.  When our love turns lukewarm or cold, God continues to love us with the same, unwavering levels of greatness, and His love calls us back.  God nurtures a loving relationship with His children through the indwelling of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: 

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22) 

The greatest of the fruits is love.  Love is the “open” sign on our hearts, welcoming the remaining fruits; the characteristics of God our Father.  Love is the light that shines outwardly, illuminating all fruits.  Love is the reflection of God; it is who others see in us, it is who we see when we look in the mirror.  God is love.  As glorious as this is, it still pales compared to what we will experience in heaven.
