I believe it is our responsibility as followers of Christ to show that same love to mankind and encourage others to seek Him. Why does Jesus describe to his disciples how disobedient, ignorant and lazy servants are punished by their master, and how obedient, alert and active servants are given greater authority? So you will get your reward for being a faithful servant. Not the punishment of disobedience.

Why does Jesus describe to his disciples how disobedient, ignorant and lazy servants are punished by their master, and how obedient, alert and active servants are given greater authority? Jesus tells us that we are to remain obedient to His commandments at all times, because we have no idea when he will return. And, if He returns when we are lazy we will not have a reward waiting, but instead endure suffering.
