I suspect it has something to do with putting JESUS and or the LORD's work first. If you are called to do something by the LORD and you put off what you could have done, then you are not putting the LORD first in your life, which shows a lack of obedience.

Think about Abraham. GOD told him to sacrifice his son on the mountain. Abraham didn't say, sure GOD, I'll get to it right after I get back from fishing. He did what GOD asked him to do even though the very thought of what he was asked to do was extreme, he did it, and because he displayed great faith, GOD blessed him and all his descendants.

We as a people have a responsibility when we are called to announce the Kingdom of GOD. Unfortunately, we are not always ready and make excuses as to why we can't do it now. I'm guilty of it as well and I'm trying to be more attentive to his call.
