27012 entries for this category: I really didn't know this, but after reading some of the comments I have to agree that it stood for the 12 tribes of Isreal. I do believe it was a message that God can provide for those who believe and want to hear his word. By allowing twelve extra baskets of bread, what might have been Jesus` subtle message to the twelve tribes of Israel?

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? We will never know, but part may be that Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, and when an animal was sacrificied to God, that animal had physical pain. Of course, what Jesus went through was much worse - very long and painful.

How does Jesus react to people to tell him to go away? Jesus left with no animosity towards the people who were sending him away. He knew he was leaving behind someone that would continue to teach the word of God.
