John 10:30

Jesus now plainly told them that He was one with the Father. This was no different from His earlier revelations to these men: "My Father is working right now, and so am I. His reply made the Jews more intent on killing him. Not only did he break the laws about the day of worship, but also he made himself equal to God when he said repeatedly that God was his Father" (John 5: 17-18). They had demanded that Jesus tell them plainly if He was the Christ. Now, Jesus had done exactly that. His words were more offensive than His works: "My Father has turned everything over to me. Only the Father knows the Son. And no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son is willing to reveal him" (Matthew 11:27).

In the genealogy of Jesus given by Luke, which proves that He is a proper man, the title Christ is not mentioned (Luke 3:23-38). But in the genealogy of Christ given here by Matthew, which proves that He is the King, the Christ of God, the title Christ is emphasized repeatedly (vv. 1, 16-17)

How did Jesus prove to John that Jesus was the Messiah predicted by the prophet Isaiah? Note: see "Jesus Rejected at Nazareth - Luke 4:14-30"
