I would also like to ask if I pray that they be forgiven of their sins after their death, would they be forgiven or forever lost? What do you find astonishing about this centurion (leader of Roman soldiers)? He was a true leader. Even the people who were serving under him and the people that he was ruling over respected him. He knew and believed in the powers of Jesus and even though he knew he was not worthy of his grace, his servant did indeed deserve to be healed and be blessed.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment? Love is the most precious thing we can give to anyone. It is more precious than gold or any other thing we could have. Love gives us faith, hope, and a reason to carry on in this life. Love gives a feeling unlike anything else. If we love one another, we love God.
