One of the primary reasons the Sanhedrin had difficulties accepting JESUS was do to these radical teachings. We know of several examples where JESUS spent time with the tax collectors, prostitutes, the out casts and he loved them all the same.

When Judas betrayed him, it was just another example of how he modeled the following behavior.

Finally, JESUS was crucified at the same time as two criminals. If you remember, even at his death, he tells the one criminal who sought the truth, that he would be forgiven and would enter into paradise with JESUS.
