Why were the religious leaders so upset that Jesus would heal on the Sabbath (religious day off)?

They viewed it as blasphemy. Remembering the commandments and keeping the Sabbath for a day of rest and devotion to GOD, the purists were upset by this act.They could not see beyond the law and struggled with the act of pure love and want to help the man (even though it occurred on the Sabbath).

Why were the religious leaders so upset that Jesus would heal on the Sabbath (religious day off)?

Something new and especially change is hard for many people to accept. Jesus knew that celebrating God on the Sabbath was the way of the Lord and what better way to celebrate the power of God tha to heal a person's physical handicap as well as healing their soul. This was something new a a change from what they thought was the way of the lord.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

When I realize all of the wrong (sins) I have done and God is still willing to forgive me and love me, my relationship with him takes huge advances and my love for Him increases and my longing for to be in His presence increases.
