Jesus taught by being with the people and showing the way of the Lord. Jesus was a great leader by being in among his people and not wanting to rule. When he saw doubt in his followers, he would always show the power of God and that you will always be protected if you live by the rules God provided for you.

Why were the religious leaders so upset that Jesus would heal on the Sabbath (religious day off)? They were enraged because Jesus showed them to be the hypocrites that they were. They put legaism before the will of God, Judgement before mercy, evil before good. Jesus (God), created the Sabbath for rest, not a break from doing what is righteous.
