"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?" What Jesus meant about what it means to be loved by God is that we have eternal security and can call upon God to request that He meet ALL of our needs, those temporal as well as eternal, and that Jesus will reveal Himself to us as we seek Him, especially to meet the needs that the world claims it can meet for us, such as those of security, significance and justification. We first need to believe that God loves us in order to trust Him with all of our needs. We must read God's Word to be reminded of the many examples of how God loves us and bears with us in our weakness. By doing this, we will gain confidence in God's complete faithfulness and reliability, and learn to trust Him absolutely.
