This is why Jesus healed a womans child who was outside of Israel. Jesus was not going to heal anyone outside Isreal for a reason and its revealed through many parts of the gospel but done best through this beautiful parablesk (I may have just made up a word there, but it means like a parable) answer to the womans' question in this very story; "First let the children eat all they want, for it is not right to take the childrens bread and toss it to the dogs" "The children" in this metaphor are the Jews of Israel "Gods chosen children" and the food is of course is Jesus(his works, ministry and teachings"this bread is my flesh...this wine is my blood" for "no man can live on bread alone"). The "dogs" are everyone else. Jesus was not going to heal this womans child originally he told her no and called her, Syrians, phoenicians and all others dogs. Most people would scoff at the statement or even be outraged enough to kill Jesus, like the Pharisees and the Saudicees but instead she showed her faith by humbling herself in the presence of the Lord, saying "Yes lord, but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs" she called herself a dog that still needs the Lord despite her not being a chosen person. WHICH IS THE POINT OF CHRISTIANITY WE ALL MUST HAVE FAITH LIKE CHRIST, like this womans answer. And I did not site my quotes but I assure you they are right out of the bible, look them up if you wish but putting faith in someone who is not just yourself is when you can witness a glimmer of Jesus peeping into our everyday lives. Have faith friends the Lords plan is flawless. God bless.
