JESUS giving sight to a blind man helped not only helped him to see, but showed everyone that he was the light and the truth and all that believe will have eternal life. Why did Jesus insist on healing on the Sabbath when the Pharisees taught this was sin?

Why did Jesus cause those who see to become blind? Those that had knowledge of the teachings of God and doubted what they saw or did not follow his word were blind to the spiritual powers and to the eternal light that God provides to his followers.
