Why were the Jews so angry that Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham was born? The Jews could not understand that Jesus IS the Son of God and always existed. They were looking at him at they would an ordinary person born of man.

Why were the Jews so angry that Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham was born? They were angry because Jesus said before Abraham exsisted I AM. Jesus was telling them of the unity or oneness with the heavenly father he has and they couldn't or wouldn't accept this. To them this was blasphemy.
