Why was sending Jesus to live on earth such an effective way for God to tell people about Himself? As humans, we could never understand God's plan for us in any other way, but for God to send Jesus who said to know me is to know the father. that just lets me know just how much God loves us and wants all of us to have the opportunity to be saved.

How did John`s testimony prepare people to receive Jesus and His message? John was given the Divine assignment of preparing the way for Jesus, which was repent from sin. also he baptized with water to show what was to come. Jesus baptizing with the Holy Spirit.
