27012 entries for this category: Speculating, I am sure I'd feel the same as the disciples when they first saw Jesus after He died. I would have been afraid and thought He was a ghost. Jesus promised to send a helper, the Holy Spirit to the disciples. Why did the disciples go from fear to being comforted by Jesus eating? It is not clear in the bible, but I would say that maybe seeing Him eat made the disciples feel that He truly was alive. Although Jesus' body was transformed, His eating showed that He was real. If I had seen Jesus' accension into heaven I would cry tears of joy, would feel blessed to have witnessed His life in the last three years, and praised His holy name.
