Does this give you confidence in his words and promises, knowing he and others had predicted his death and resurrection? "Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." The fact that the crucifiction was talked about prior to the happening makes it even more believable and easier the have the faith in the Lord to follow in his foot steps and pray for eternal life in God's Kingdom.

Describe what you would do if you were there watching Jesus ascend? Iwould be amazed. what a gift the dicsiples were given to be witnesses to that historic event.

Why do you suppose they were filled with fear then comforted by Jesus eating food? Like us all, they were still human and thinking in finite terms even after being with Jesus for his entire ministry on earth, but Jesus comforted them because thier job was just begining.
