Jesus took careful time to explain all things about his death and resurrection. Does this give you confidence in his words and promises, knowing he and others had predicted his death and resurrection? "Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself."

Jesus and all the prophets before him did speak of the One that would come save us. Because it all came to pass as was spoken of, I realize that Jesus' words and promises of our salvation are true. I pray that Jesus' continue to renew my trust, belief, confidence and love for Him everyday. I want to grow in His love and His word. I want to know his will and do his will.

1.How might you have felt seeing Jesus after knowing he had died? 2.Jesus said "I send forth the promise of my Father on you", what was the promise? 3.Why do you suppose they were filled with fear then comforted by Jesus eating food?

1. I would have been in "Awe" 2. The gift of the Holy Spirit 3. Not sure if our whole humanity was different but Jesus proved we are still human...

Why were fulfillment of prophecies important? "note: Jesus predicted his death and resurrection? "...saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again...". There are also many accounts in the old testament describing the death and resurrection of the Messiah hundreds to thousands of years before the event.

The fulfillment of the prophecies is important because that is proof that Jesus' words are the truth and with his death we are saved.
