27012 entries for this category: Hopefully I would be awed, amazed, and grateful that the prophecies had been filled. I can understand, however, why His followers were filled with fear. In the natural seeing a person who has died reappear evokes fear, and, because of our "natural" conditioning, we would automatically assume we are seeing a spirit. The promise of the Father was everlasting life to those who believe in the Son and his resurrection. Hallelujah!! Prophecies from God, spoken by Him or to and through others, contain knowledge about the future. The fulfillment of prophecy is important because they were proof that God is divine and His word is truth, Jesus. And just as the prophecies of from ages ago were fulfilled, the prophecies of our time will also be fulfilled. God does not lie.

Jesus took careful time to explain all things about his death and resurrection. Does this give you confidence in his words and promises, knowing he and others had predicted his death and resurrection? "Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." Yes. The Word of God is the Light.
