If neither Herod nor Pilate found anything worthy of death to convict Jesus of then why was he sentenced to death? They knew they did not dare go against the will of their king even though they knew it to be wrong.

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? Jesus knew the judgement had been made and anything said would be meaninless. He knew he was to be sacrificed to save all mankind.
