The centurion glorified God because he knew they had killed an honest, holy man. Blessings.

I am heaven bound. This earthly life is filled with injustice, mockery, suffering, and death. The flesh is sin. Jesus provided a way out; faith through grace, belief in the Lord and repentance leads to salvation. The thief on the cross was convicted, sentenced to die on the cross-next to Jesus. He acknowledged who Jesus was (Don't you even fear God); he confessed he was a sinner (for we receive the due reward for our deeds); and he asked the Lord for forgiveness (Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom). Jesus affirmed the thief's salvation (Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise). As I live in this world, yet a part from it, and persevere through the injustice, mockery, suffering, and death, I am reminded by this verse that I too will be in Paradise with the Lord.

i believe this centurion was witness to the tremendous miracles that wrer taking place right in front of him and a whole lot of others.

the darkened sky the earth quake etc... at that point he new there was something super natural going on, so he praised God!
