Its a pity some people who could have known Him when He was alive, did not out of fear. And lost that fear when He died, they must have realized what a chance they missed. But at least they came to Jesus.

Bonus question: Why was the veil torn in two? "The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two" So we would no longer be seperated from God. We have direct access to God, we dont need a priest, a sacrifice to access God. Just go to Him in Jesus's name.

When Jesus "breathed his last" and was pronounced dead; why did The Roman centurion glorify god? I believe he glorified God because he realized Jesus was his salvation.
