Judas was one of the 12 men closest to Jesus. Why would Judas betray Jesus? He wanted an Earthly Savior, one who would bring him wealth and power, great weapons of Satan. From the Gospel of John we know the he was the money keeper and often stole, this sin, led to the greater sin of betraying Jesus.
