King Herod held power to kill as desired, yet he himself feared many things. What did he fear? Do have have any of his fears?

He feared the righteousness of John. Herod recongnised the goodness of the messages of John but his office/pride prevented him from following. He locked John up for speaking against his marriage yet he often attended to John to hear him speak. Herod was caught between being a king of an unrighteous bunch and following the goodness preached by John.

Jesus equip his disciples for powerful by taking away their material possessions and giving them authority over the unclean spirits. He charged them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only : no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse, but to wear sandals and put on two tunics. They went out and preached that people should repent. They cast out many demons, and annointed many with oil who were seick, and healed them.

What does the contrast between the small seed and huge bush teach you about the kingdom of God?

We begin with a grain of faith in the word of God. some are witness to signs and wonders so grow on blind faith but we all grow big enough purged and pruned by God and soo enough we begin to shelter others with our faith that has now grown big. our very existence is testimony for our Lord and our lives of faith in the comin of the Lord speaks volumes to others on faith.
